Album Review: Beyonce - 4

This year was destined to be the year that the lead female ladies in the music industry battle it out on the charts. and now that all of them did, one remains, Beyonce. Beyonce's last 3 albums (Dangerously In Love/ B'DAY / I Am... Sasha Fierce) have topped the charts and had huge commercial success and critical acclaim (the latter is by Me lol). with each album, it seems like Beyonce is securing her spot as one of the industry's top female artists, but in this ever-changing-trend-following industry nothing is forever. she has had multiple world-wide hits, and was even a part of the one of the most succesful girlgroups in music history. so basically, with this album, the stakes and anticipation were high! SideNote: Beyonce obviously felt that way as well, becuz i had read somewhere that beyonce has recorded over 72 songs for this album! Damn girl, I thought you were taking a break last year -.-

with Lady GaGa, Katy Perry, Britney spears, Rihanna, and even Adele dominating today's radio charts, i asked myself about what direction Beyonce's next album would be like and i prayed to god that she doesn't follow the trending that everyone else is doing and release a full on Soul/RnB /Urban album. the second i heard the new single 'Run The World (Girls)', i loved it. the track has failed to impact the charts the way it was suppose to, and even with an AMAZING music video, a great deal of AMAZING performances and promotional slots, it couldn't do much to change the public's reciption. Beyonce then released the soulful (1+1) as a promotional single, and then pop/rnb ballad (Best Thing I Never Had) as her official second single, which made me think that this album is probably gonna be her most versatile album to date. here are my thoughts as i listened to the album for the first time below:

1+1
The first track that starts off the album is the promotional single that was released with the album's pre-order on itunes. I've loved this track from first listen, and i grew to love it even more after the American Idol performance. this soulful number is everything i want a beyonce ballad to be, great lyrics + intense and passionate vocals from beyonce! hearing beyonce's control of her voice in this song only reminds me of how much of an amazing vocalist she is. you know what makes it better? that guitar solo at the end. perfection!

I Care
if the first song didn't show you that beyonce has soul, then her singing "Maybe If You Can't Enough, I Wouldn't have to care so much." most defenitly will. beyonce goes to places vocally that i've never heard her even attempt to go to on her previous albums. the production reminds me of Alicia Keys'(Love Is Blind) a bit, but i must say that beyonce keeping up with the guitar note by note at the end gets this track to the next level. I look forward to see a live performance of this track in the future!

I Miss You
Beyonce's haunting vocal arrangement in this song just implifies how strong the lyrics of the song are. the simple beat and instrumental used put her voice front and centre and like always, beyonce delivers. "words dont seem to come out right but i still mean them, why is that? it hurts my pride to tell you how i feel, but i still need to, why is that?" beyonce harmonising with herself sounds so good singing this song. another good one from KingB

Best Thing I Never Had
this song sees beyonce getting over the lover she was talking about in the previous song and kicks him to the curb "Irreplaceable" style! actually this track sounds like it could be the older and more mature sister of beyonce's 'Irreplaceable'. this song is your typical stargate ballad, but beyonce takes it to the next level with her adlibs and convincing vocal performance throughout the song. 'best' features writtings from babyface and i must say i'm impressed "Thank God I Found The Good In Goodbye!". her voice singing "What goes around, comes back aroung.. hey.. my baaaybbyyy" stays stuck in your head!!!

Party (feat. Andre 3000 & Kanye West)
this song is the only song with features on the album, and this old skool production features steve wonder inspired vocals from beyonce. this is a feel good song and Beyonce's smooth and soulful harmonies make this song the perfect jam! Andre 3000's addition to this song was GENIUS! i don't know if this should count as a kanye west feature cuz he only says about a couple of lines in the song, but i guess i don't mind cuz his part is coo' lol

Rather Die Young
the production and melody of this track is sooo good! yet another track that puts beyonce's vocals front and centre! this is what makes beyonce a true Singer to me, her ability to carry the song with her vocals only! Beyonce singing "You're my james dean, you make me feel 17" makes you smile! i just had to replay the part where beyonce says "And I'm Teling Youuuu-oooohh!" becuz she just sounds so damn good singing it!

*Pauses the album for a second* WTF WAS BEYONCE THINKING RELEASING (GIRLS) AS HER FIRST SINGLE!!!???? 'girls' does NOT represent the theme of the album! *Presses play to continue listening*

Start Over
the first couple of lines of the song just got to me! "I feel weak, we've been here before! cuz I feel we keep going back and forth". by the end of the chorus, i thought to myself, this track might turn out to be one of my favorites off the album, and by the ending chorus that was CONFIRMED!!! ! beyonce's vocals soar over the instumental. the song is about a love that is tumbling down, it's a lover's pleed to start over and give love another try. this song will defenitly make the lover reconsider lol

Love On Top
as soon as the song started i kinda remembered Mariah Carey's instrumental of (Candy Bling) but then any resemblence ended once the drum kicked in. this song is just another JAM!!! old skool production, and beyonce's vocals singing about a lover that's finally PUT HER FIIIIIIRST! by the end of this song, when she kept getting higher and higher, that was just rediculous but it makes me love it more!

Count Down
the writting on this song is awesome! this hood anthem feels right at home with beyonce's singing/rapping!! this song is perfect for a night out, it's fun, quircky, and energitic!

End Of Time
this tribal-beat driven song SCREAMS single!!!! I want this to be a future single! beyonce demands from her lover "SAY YOU'LL NEVER LET ME GO!" the live instrumental, beyonce's energy singing the song just makes want a live performance of this track!!! i feel like this is one of those tracks that are good on CD but are even better performed live! this is one of the CD's highlights in my opinion!

I was Here
before listening to this song, i remembered that the great Diane Warren penned this song for beyonce and has stated that it will be one of those "Career defining" songs! so the anticipation for this one was high! the production was brilliant, the writting was amazing, beyonce delivered vocally and then some! the emotion througout the song was very much relatable. "I Was Here, I Lived, I Loved. I Was Here, I Did, I've done everything that i wanted and it was more than i thought it would be, i will leave my mark so everyone would know i was here."

Run The World (Girls)
the album's first single, it has underwhelmed on the charts, and i clearly see that it was the wrong choice for first single, but that doesn't mean i don't LOVE this song! you want proof? check my ipod's most played songs! NUMBER ONE BAAAYYBBBYYYY!!

Bey, Queen B, Beysus, KingB, Sasha Fierce, call her whatever you want! Beyoncé Giselle Knowles delivers on this album! and puts her true instrument into work! HER VOICE! I wish that some other artists would do the same instead of depend on the production, the image, or the gimmicks. Unlike some of her fellow RnB singers that switched over to pop and dance music to get a hit, beyonce stuck to what she knows best and went back to her RnB and soul roots with this one, and i admire her for that. this album is a good listen from start to finish! Beyonce delivers from the heartfelt ballads, to the to the uptempo tracks! the only thing that i have a problem with is the sequence of the tracks. (example: putting 'Run The World' after 'I Was Here') i don't know how this album will do on the charts but i really hope that it does well. i know that some people might say that it's beyonce, so it's pretty much destined to be number one. well, y'all said the same thing about the first single, now look what happened!-.- Without a doubt, this is the best RNB album of the year!

Album Review: Nicole Scherzinger - Killer Love

After a seriously LONG 3 year delay, a series of flop singles, a return and a break up of the pussycat dolls, Nicole Scherzinger finally releases her long awaited and highly anticipated album Titled (Killer Love).

Poison
the album openner is the first single, and i must say, this song, though it's ur typical RedOne produced track, is A BANGER! i've been intoxicated with this song from first listen, nicole's vocals soar at the breakdown, it shows everyone that she means business! it even hit number 3 in the UK (making the release of this album possible!!) and number one on my ipod LOL

Killer Love
The title track, a nicole favorite, and a rumored future single! it's addictive, and nicole sounds so good on this, though yet another RedOne produced track, but then again he is the executive producer, so i'll expect a lot of those on the album LOL "if this is good then why r u driving my heart insane? and if it's bad then why can't i just walk away?"

Don't hold your breath
the album's second single, a demo of the song by Keri hilson and timbaland leaked early last year and i loved that one, and when i read the title of the second single, i really hoped that it isn't the same song because the demo was seriously good, i didn't know if nicole could measure up! with different lyrics, a different production team behind it, and nicole's simple yet powerful and emotive delievry really sells you this one! it's one of my favorites! the lyrics are really good as well! "You Can't Touch Me Now, There's no feeling left! If u think I'm coming back, Don't hold your breath!" oooh and did i mention? the song is on course to becoming nicole's first number one in the UK!

Right There
With a Rihanna-ish Vibe and a carabean accent, and nicole's way of vocal delivery, this song feels better suited for Rihanna. it's not a bad song,though it's nothing close to being original,but with the lyrics of a possesive lover that will tell you off if u get to close to her man, it kinda works! it's cute and most importantly FUN!FUN!FUN! (not in a rebecca black kind of way -.-)

You will Be Loved
the song starts with Nicole Yodelling, after laughing a bit, i was back to listening to the song seriously, it's the first slowtempo-ish song, i like the concept of the song, and nicole sounds beautiful on it, i don't think this song reaches it's potential, but it's a good listen!

Wet
the first song that i can actually see be a hit in the states (though it probably wont, they seem to not like nicole's songs for some reason :/)! this song just makes you wanna get up and DANCE!!! the chorus is one of those sing-along ones, and i LOVE it!

Say Yes
though i hoped this is the (Just Say Yes) song she recorded for her scrapped album (Her Name Is Nicole), but it turns out to be another uptempo song! the chorus is CATCHY!!!

Club Banger Nation
reading the title i expected a self-reflectiving ballad with an empowering message, JUST KIDDING XD it's exactly what you'd expect from the title! nicole's vocals are exactly how i like them! TURNED UP HIGH! Loving the Tina-Turner-ish way of delivery! i heard this is also a future single candidate!

Power's Out
though it's a mistake putting it after (Club banger nation), this song is PROBABLY the best nicole leak i've heard. this song leaked almost 2 years ago, but there's no denying one amazing collaboration, i'm glad she finally got to release it. i love this song, it's one of those songs you wish someone would dedicate to you, it's THAT good.

Desperate
with lyrics that go like, "you really openned up my eyes, you made me cry and laugh at the same time, and then you took it all back" this song is a gem! Nicole's vocal delivery is reminiscent of Gwen Stephanie, and that's not a bad thing, i love the track, and i love how nicole sounds on it! it's very well written, and the production, though typical, it works out in favour of the song!

Everybody
idk what to say about this one, it's one of those bleak songs, and i usually love those, so i'm sure i'll get into this after a couple of listens!

Heartbeat (Rudi Wells' Open Heart remix)
this is originally featured on enrique iglasias' album, i've always loved this track, though it doesn't make sense to include it on Nicole's album, i guess they did it to increase the public's interest. they could've just made a part 2!

Casualty
i heard a snippet of this song a while back, this better be good Nicole!!! *presses play* aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah heaven!!!! i'm IN LOVE with this track!!!!! "so many tears for you i sacrafised, too many lies, for you i justified! i How can you stand there?! saying no1's to blame?! how can you act like Everything's ok?!"

AmenJena
the album closer, this could either make or break the album for me! AmenJena means 'peaceful paradise', it stays true to the title. this is the best song on the album, a real tear-jerker. Nicole's delivery is just breathtakingly beautiful.

nicole's fans have been waiting for this album for a long long time, and I've had very high expectations for it, and boy oh boy does she deliver! this album is cohesive, with all the right elements of a hit album! though not the most original album, it really is good! i really hope that nicole gets to number one with this album cuz she has worked so hard for it, you can hear it!

Album Review : Britney Spears - Femme Fatale

I haven't blogged in ages and i told myself that if i wanna do a post, it has to be about something HUGE and guess what? here's what it is. It's been a little over 2 years since the princess of pop Britney Spears has graced us fans with new music. first, she released the amazing (Hold it against me) which debuted at #1 on billboard's hot 100, and now the second single is already shotting up the charts, all of that WITHOUT any type of promotion from britney! Britney herself commented that this is her "best work", and with 3 back to back PERFECT albums under her belt, where does this one stand between them? with all the hype surrounding the album and the fans dying to hear it in full, do I think britney delivers? my thoughts as i listened to the album r below!

Till The World Ends
a great openner! a great beat + fun Ke$ha lyrics + britney = POP PERFECTION. i LOVE the way the song builds up!! a great listen, and a great single! if this is what the album has instore for us, then we're in for a treate! this has a bittersweet sounds to it, idk how to describe it, i really love it!

Hold It Against Me
it took me a while to get into this song! but i have to say, it got me!! and now it's one of my most played songs of ALL TIME!! another song that builds up perfectly! the breakdown is AMAZING!!

Inside Out
this is i think the first "Leak" off the album that i heard, and i LOVE the concept of this song!!! this song kind of reminds me of the production from Katy Perry's E.T, but still a great song none-the-less, hopefully a future single!!

I Wanna Go
initially one of my favorite snippets!! another GREAT build up!! very addictive!!! her voice in the end is heavenly. limme tell u something! one listen to the chorus and YOU. WILL. BE. HOOKED.

How I Roll

i love how queircky this song is!!! the production is just amazing!!! the lyrics r fun, and such a feel good song!! a good song for when ur going out for a nightout :D

(Drop Dead) Beautiful

i can hear Ester Dean's influence on britney's voice here! the first feature on the album, and i must say a fine one at that! Sabi does a fine job with her part! this song manages to be amazingly produced yet still managed to bring a sense of gritty-ness to it!

Seal It With A Kiss

I expected some sort of love song with this song, but NOOOOOO this is britney, bitch! it's all about the playfullness!! catchy and addictive!! the breakdown is nice and reminds me of (Hold it against me)'s breakdown, just not as good unfortunatly but still a good track!

Big Fat Bass

when i heard the snippet i said that it sounds like a Black Eyed Peas leftover, but since it's britney, she turned what could've been crap meterial into POP PERFECTION! I wonder what she's talking about in the song "The 'bass' is getting bigger" LOL

Trouble For Me

since the first line she sang, i can tell this is a JAM!!!!(Not the kim kardashian type -.-) she sounds great, and the lyrics r fun as well!! i love the ending!!! :D

Trip to your heart

since the last song i expected to be a ballad turned out to be another flirty song from britney, i expected this to be another one of them, i was wrong. i was confused by the intro of the song, but this turns out to be a sweet song, it kinda makes me smile =] "I fly away on a trip to your heart"

Gasoline

from the (Oh Oh) in the begining, i can tell this is gonna be a good song! the chorus sounds kinda evil, idk how to explain it but i LOVE it! You'll get addicted as soon as u listen!

Criminal

this sounds so different from the rest of the album! i love how she sounds!!! and i Love the instrumental!! a great closer to the standard edition of the album!

In conclusion, this album is a gift to all britney fans out there, it's cohesive body of work. solid from beginging to end!! the thing that i found was missing from the album was a ballad or a slow song! it is full of single-meterial songs! which is really important if she wants to attain constant sales throughout the year! this is a really fun album, and to say that it was AMAZINGLY produced is an understatement because AMAZING doesn't even come close to the word to describe it! Guess what? Britney. delivers.

Album Review: Rihanna - LOUD

In 5 short years, Rihanna has become some-what of a household name, scoring multiple international hits, 8 number songs, but no matter how well her singles do, it seems that she can't translate that success into an ALBUM-selling power. her last album (Rated R) bearly made it to platinum, the album before (Good Girl Gone Bad) was her most successful album and it was

only certified double platinum in the states. i know what you guys are thinking, platinum and double platinum isn't so bad? my answer, IT IS BAD! when an artist releases 8 successful top 10 hits (3 of which got to number one), you would expect the album to have sold much more than that! now back to the original topic, a year (minus 8 days) after releasing the dark and AMAZING (IMO) Rated R, she returns with a very "happy" and colorful LOUD. do i think that Rihanna rushed to release this album? yes. do i think it was worth it? we'll analyze that now.

S&M

the album opens up with the rumored 3rd single, with a sing-along-chorus that goes like "i might be bad, but i'm perfectly good at it!! sex in the air, i don't care i love the smell of it!! sticks and stones may break my bones, but chains and whips excite me" u know that this is gonna be another hit for for rihanna. top notch production, and rihanna sounds good belting the chorus on it! (yes i actually don't get annoyed by Rihanna's voice LOL)

What's My Name Feat. Drake

The album's second single, which is now number one in the states. this song is just very fun, light, summer song! I LOVE IT! Rihanna tones down the chorus belting and just does her thing on this one. another winner for Little Miss Sunshine, and even though i didn't like it at first, drake doesn't dissapoint with his verse.

Cheers (Drink To That)

This was rumored to be the first single for quite some time, i can see why. this is such a feel-good song that everyone can relate to! u know when you had a LONG week and you just want the weekend to come so you can actually go out and hit the city and just have a good 'ol time! if you ever felt that way, this song is for you!!! "cheers to the freakin weekend" ooh and the break down near the end is cute.

Fading

Now we get to something that all rihanna's albums have to have!!! a midtempo-stargate-sounding-break-up-songs. and guess what? I LOVE THOSE!!!!! "things just aint the same, and i'm ready for change! go on, be gone, bye bye, so long".

Only Girl (In The World)

The album's first single! This is such a good song!!!!! I LOVED it the moment i listened to it!!! that chorus!!! i haven't heard rihanna sing like that before, and i just, basically, LOVE IT!!! my only objection "i want you to take it, like a theif in the night", disturbia much?

California King Bed

This might just be my favorite song off the album. i love how Rihanna sounds singing the verses. I love this tone of her voice. "How come when i reach out my fingers, it seems like more than distance between us" great chorus, i would LOVE to see a future release for this one!

Man Down

this might just be the album's dark horse! this song finds Rihanna going back to her island roots, very reggae, and the accent is on full effect!!! after hearing this song, all i gotta say is, Chris Brown better watch his back "Oh Momma Momma Momma, I Just Shot A Man Down" LOL

Raining Men Feat. Nicki Minaj

Rihanna + Nicki Minaj = BANGER!!!! thank god it's nothing like the original!!! nicki minaj's part steals the show as usual, but that's not Rihanna's fault, it's just something EVERY artist has to deal with when featuring Nicki Manaj.

Complicated

Another favorite of mine from this album!! from the "why is everything with you so complicated? why do you make it hard for me to love you, oh i hate it! Cuz If You Really Wanna Be Alone I will throw My Hands Up Cuz Baby I Tried" chorus, to Rihanna's vocal, the lyrics, the production, this song is a WINNER!

Skin

The only song that i can't seem to get into it. i'm sure many people would enjoy this song, but it's just not my cup of tea, but who knows? it might be a grower.

Love The Way You Lie (Part II) Feat. Eminem

this is probably the perfect closer to the album. this is part 2 to the worldwide hit (Love The Way You Lie). it has Rihanna turning the song into a ballad, but still keeps the hiphop chorus. for me, this is better the original! and even though i hate Eminem's guts, I have to admit that his part was just SICK!!!! (in a good way) "Even Angels Have Their Wicked Schemes, And You Take That To New Extremes." Side Note: they say that a deluxe edition will have a piano version of the song, I CAN'T WAIT to hear it!

Rihanna Definitely delivers with this album!!! to think about it, who wouldn't with the team behind it, it has hit written all over it! hopefully the public will actually be buying this ALBUM not just the singles because it's worth it. I have a feeling that this will be another Rihanna record that will get many more spins on my ipod! #GoRihanna

Album Review: Merry Christmas II You - Mariah Carey

Everyone should know that i don't really celebrate christmas but i'm a mariah lamb and i wouldn't miss a chance of reviewing her album, specially one that's THIS good! Mariah released her first christmas album back in 1994, and is considered to be one of the most successful christmas album of all times! the first christmas album spawned the top selling holliday single of all time, (All I Want For Christmas Is You). and just a few days ago she released the sequal to the album titled (Merry Christmas II You)

Santa Clause Is Coming To Town (Intro)

this is just a 20 second intro into the next song, sounds festive!

Oh Santa!

The Album's first single, is a stomping schoolyard-chant that just screams CLASSIC! this was released back at October and i've been in the holliday spirit ever since #LOL the song is basically Mariah asking Santa to "Come and make you (ME) mine this christmas" #LOL with an infecious chorus, and beautiful harmonies, this song is a winner! one more thing those, whistle notes at the end don't do any harm ;)

O Little Town Of Bethlehem/Little Drummer Boy

this medley starts off with Mariah's sweet whispery vocals, sounds beautiful and then in the 2:00 mark mariah unleashes her powerfull vocalls at full force!! another good one!

Christmas Time Is In The air Again

another ballad, never a bad thing with mariah! starts off as usual with soft vocalls on some very festive christmas instrumentation. you can feel the warmth in her voice, even though mariah recorded this song over the summer, she was definitely in the christmas spirit! not the strongest track on the album but not bad to any extent!

The First Noowell/ Born is the king (interlude)

yet another ballad, you'd think she would keep those at the end of the album or something, but still mariah sounds as beautiful as ever! she goes full force in the middle of the song and then the interlude begins and unexpectedly it has a modern Rnb production. kinda weird but is a nice little twist!

When Christmas Comes

This song just SCREAMS Emancipation vocals!!!!! very reminiscent of (Mine again), probably cuz it's the same producer. as soon as the chorus hits in mariah is FULL FORCE!!! THIS GIVES ME LIFE!!! i don't think i've ever heard someone sing so powerfully about how it's christmaaaasss tiiiiiiiimmmmmmeee, geeet togettttthhheeeerrrr!! it's gonna be sooo niiiiicccccceeee, better thaaaannnn eeeeevvvvveeeerrrrrr!! the song breaks down in the middle into a line from (jingle bell) but then picks up and ends with even stronger vocals!!

Here Comes Santa Claus (right down Santa claus lane) "Housetop Celebration"

this has a 90's beat to it, very festive and very mariah! loving her vocals!!! though not her best track on the album it's pretty good! it has a vibe to it that can only be described as Ghetto-christmas #LOL

Charlie Brown Christmas

the song itself doesn't start untill 0:50 mark hits! smooth vocals!! i can imagine people around the fireplace unwrapping christmas presents.

O Come All Ye Faithfull/Hallelujah (chorus)

This is a duet with Mariah Carey's Mother Patricia Carey. mariah starts off the first verse and then her mom does the second verse and then they combine their voices at the end and the result is this album's, without a doubt, standout track!! I WANNA CELEBRATE CHRISTMAS :'(

Oh Holy Night (Live from WPC in south central los Angeles)

this is a flawless vocal performance!! the soulfull and strong vocal prove why mariah was/IS/will always be one of the best vocalists that have ever walked this planet!! though mariah carey's voice has changed but no one can deny that it's still there!! beautiful, just beautiful!!

One Child

this shows mariah carey's vocal layers! from the soft whispery vocals, the middle register, and the outstanding highnotes!! another winner in my book!!

All I Want For Christmas Is You (Extra Festive)

this is the classic track that many would be shocked that mariah carey is the one that wrote it! yes, you heard me!! mariah carey wrote this! this is re-recorded and i have to say i had doubts when i heard that she's re-recording it but the result is just as satisfying as the first one! with extra ad-libs that just makes the whole thing even more exciting!

Auld Lang Syne (New Year's Anthem)

only mariah carey can start the song at church and end it a gay club #LMAO damn this beat!!! i hate that everyone just HAS to use it these days -.- for me, it just ruins the song, but it's mariah so I'll give her props to trying to put a twist on a classic, and it works!! a perfect end to the album!!

Mariah truely delivers here! she shows everyone that the vocals are still intact! though not as effortless as they once were, she's still on an entire different league fro her contermporaries! this album might just be her best in years! i wish her the best with this album! cuz it's obvious that she really worked her ass off for this one!! and on a more festive note, congratulations to Mariah Carey and husband Nick Cannon on their first pregnancy! may you two have a healthy and happy pregnancy and deliever a healthy baby =)

It's been a while since I last posted on my blog, and that's mainly because of something that happened a little over a month ago. i was doing a mega post about song of the day! and after all the work i put in, the damn post got removed by blogger because of copy rights or whatever, knowing that i didn't post anything illegal! I'm back now and i'm about to do an album review ;)

For Nicki, this comes as the follow up single to the smash that was (Your Love) which is the first female rap song to top the charts in 7 years! That's right haters, Nicki made history before she even releases an album! for Will.I.Am, i don't know what this means, cuz it's a collabo and not just a feature, it could mean that the Black eyed peas are taking a break!!!! which will finally give fergie a chance to release a new album!!! and for will.I.Am to.. yeah, who's excited about that fergie album? :D check out the summer anthem of 2010 below:-

Song of the day, today, was very hard to choose untill i presse shuffle on my ipod and this song came on! it stayed on repeat! i watched live performances, i wiki-ed it, i basically became obsessed with the song!! this song is (Breakeven) by the Irish rock band (The Script).
the song was their third single off their self-titled album in europe and their first single in the states. the song was moderatly successful in across their europe, but was their breakout hit in he states! it was certified platinum! and it even reached number one at billboard's (Hot adult top 40 tracks)! the song is about heartbreak! with lyrics that go like "what am i suppose to do when the best part of me was always you? what am i suppose to say when i'm all chocked up and you're ok? i'm falling to pieces.. i'm falling to pieces.. " (I KNOW!!!!) this song is well deserving of the success it gained! just take a listen below and you'll know exatly why!

The song of the day is (Heavy On My Heart) By Anastacia. The song is off her third album (Anastacia). I've known this song for 5 years now, and I still listen to it till this very day! i just LOVE this song!

In 2003, Anastacia was diagnosed with breast cancer and was later successfully treated from the disease. In an interview Anastacia said that her voice lost it's power and she was unable to record her third studio album, and so she took a break and focused on the writting of the album. As a result, (Anastacia) became her biggest selling album to date! One of the album's singles was our song of the day! the song speaks about hardships of life and just asking someone to be there for you, to help you get through it. you can listen to the song below:-

The song of the day for me has to be (Deuces) by Chris Brown. the song features rappers Tyga and Kevin McCall (I've never heard of them either lol). this song is about letting go of someone who doesn't treate u right! you know when you try so hard to make something work? you eventually get sick of it! those feelings of love just turn into hate and resentment! that's when you get to "chucking up them deuces"! listen to it below!

I decided i would do this thing on my blog, where i'd tell u guys about a song that i'm going crazy about, new or old, i'm gonna try my best to do this everyday, but NO PROMISES lol

yesterday i was checking for new music like i usually do, when i saw that Jojo had released her new single! and i have to say i was shocked (ok, so i wasn't really cuz i knew it would drop yesterday, i just forgot lol). a lot of fuckery was going on between her and her record label, and hopefully this time aroud, they'll get it right! u know why? becuz Jojo, in my opinion, is one of the most under-rated artists of our time! amazing voice! right look! i love her! something u should know about her new single, it's like nothing you'd expect to hear from Jojo! listen below!

I LOVE IT! Jojo uses autotone, which i thought was bad at first but as the song progressed, it was PERFECT! i love the whole sexy, dark vibe she has her! this is from her mixtape! and she did state that in her mixtape she's gonna be a bit more experimental, and she's gonna say things that she usually wouldn't say on her albums! so here's for Jojo cussing her heart out LOL i'm looking foward to the mixtape! and the album! (which is suppose to come out early next year!)

2 years ago, i heard a song on the radio called (Need U Bad) and i was hooked from first listen! everything from the missy Elliot production, the lyrics, to the vocals were all so fresh, it screamed HIT! i started searching the artist that's behind this song. i fell in love with her and her voice, readers of this blog, i present to you a Soul/Rnb Legend in the making! Jazmine Sullivan!

after the sucess of the first single, Jazmine went on to release her debut album titled (Fearless). the second single off her album was a favorite of mine titled (Bust Your Windows) an angry anthem that i had on repeat for months! it proved to be another hit single for jazzy!

jazzy's sucess continued with the amazing (Lions, Tigers, And Bears). a heartfelt song about fear of heartache. which also became a hit on Rnb Radio!

now, we move on to (Dream Big) which was released to the UK. the song has a positive attitude towards life, and another favorite of mine!

Jazzy went on to release a promo video to (in love with another man). the song was never released as a single but still managed to chart on the Rnb charts!

Jazmine even scored a feature on Jadakiss's album (The Last Kiss) with the amazing (Smoking Gun). which was on repeat on my ipod more than a gaga song on the radio lol

by the end of the year, Jazmine's album was certified gold in the states, and recieved 5 grammy nominations! th grammy's did her SO WRONG!!! she had THE BEST RNB ALBUM OF THE YEAR! and she damn well deserved best new comer! but unfortunatly she went back home with zero grammys to her name. *sigh*

by now, you're all probably thinking, why is he telling us all of this stuff that happened all the way back in 2008? well, that was an introduction to the reason of this entire post!

now we're in 2010 and Jazmine's back to show everyone what she's all about with the wig snatching, Missy Elliot Produced, Summer anthem of 2010, Holding You Down (Goin' In Circles)!!!! this song is already one of my most played songs of ALL TIME!!! the single has some people comparing jazmine to the Legend Lauryn Hill! (that's never a bad thing!), with a chorus that goes like "i keep going in circles, circles, round and round and while ur doing me so wrong i just keep holding you down!" and my personal favorite line from the song "I Done Went Through Just About Two Bags Of Tissues, Baby! And U're Looking At Me Like U Ain't The Issue Baby!" this song is PURE FIRE!!! I predict this to be a big hit for jazmine! take a listen below and tell me what you all think!

After the sucess of her first album, Keri hilson is now working on her second album, and this is from the recording sessions with timbaland! i love this song! it's ur typical timbaland song, and that's not a bad thing, i love it!

this is just so sweet! it makes u smile and Natasha just pulls it off perfectly!

the first single off the project! though this is another pop-dance song, the fact that natasha doesn't use auto-tune and actually has a positive attitude which suits the song perfectly just makes this possible one of my favorite Natasha songs!

this gurl has been known as a writter that worked with the amazingly lovely, Mariah Carey! people should be on the look out for this one! she could do big things in the future!

BIONIC!

it's been a while since i did anything on this blog and so i decided to review one of my favorite albums of the moment, Christina Aguilera's Bionic. after a 4 year break from the music scene, The Sexually comfertable Bionic Mother, and different hat wearing Artist and song Writter, Christina Aguilera comes back to the music scene with her lastest effort Bionic, but the qustion is, where does it stack up compared to her previous work? and does she have what it takes to pull off this new sound?

Side note before we start:- I've attached a youtube link to each of the songs' titles, you can read the review and listen to the songs at the same time by openning it in a new tab or window.

the album starts off with the title track, (Bionic) where christina promises to take us on a journy that will "take over your mind, brain!", claiming that she's "many times imitated, not dupliated, can't be replaced" and that the rest "can't keep up with what I [she] Create(S)" so, "Are you ready, ready, ready to go-g-g-go?" though some might discribe this track to be some-what dated and not original, i actually think christia works it out.

next comes the album's first, amazing yet so under-rated and under-peforming, first single, Not Myself Tonight! though some say that the song feels like it ends abruptly, but those notes, and the beat climax really makes up for it. it's sad that the music video is turned out the way it did, i expected better from christina but, oh well.

it wouldn't be a christina album if it didn't have that one track that makes you go (WHAT THE.. LMAO!) and so (WOOHOO) comes in. I have to say this song toke me some time to get into.. oh who am i kidding? the song had me at (all the boys think it's cake when they taste my WOOHOO) LMFAO!! seriously! the song is outrageous, and though the yet again dated production takes off a few points from the song, Nicki Minaj saves it with her part.

now we're at (Elastic Love) which took me a while to get into, it's a catchy song but i just need more from christina. I still i give her props for trying something new and i can honestly say i haven't hard anything like it!

Now we go to (Desnudate), This is one of my favorite uptempos on the album! thought idk what the hell she's saying at the Chorus but it's soo damn catchy i can't help but sing along!

Love & Glamour (Intro) :ummm... seriously? lmao!

now we arrive at (Glam) which sounds like something Adam Lambert should've recorded lol i can't believe this was actually in consideration for the first single, though christina's vocals starting at 1:50 are AMAZING! is it wrong that the higher christina goes, the more i love the song? I'm sure I wont be singing (Let's Get Glam) anytime soon but i have to say that this song came pretty close to making me do it. Christina is THAT good people lmao.

MY FAVORITE UPTEMPO IS HERE!!! CHRISTINA BRINGS FIRE WITH THIS ONE!!! (Prima donna) comes equipped with a bit of urban influences, Lil John, and an amazing vocal break down at the end! Christina takes this one to church lmao XD

Morning Desert (Intro) : though christina's low register sounds so good here, i can actually do without this one.

Sex For Breaskfast : Christina Flows Effortlessly with this song! i actually gave it the first decent listen while doing this review, i have to say, it's actually better than what i remember. I do not appreciate the sexual msg, but i do aknowledge this is a good song.

Lift Me Up: we first heard this song at the haiti benifit, it was amazing! and this studio version just makes it better! i love this song and i love the msg behind it. "When U See Me Crashing And There's Nowhere Left To Fall, Will U Lift Me Even Higher, To Rise Above This All?" and do i need to mention that christina sounds beautiful singing this?

My Heart (intro) : this was.. cute.

All I Need : this is clearly a very personal song to christina. it's a dedication to her little baby. it's sweet and very honest. "U Bring Me Hope, When I Can't Breathe. You Give Me Love, You're All I Need" =]

I Am : Christina digs in deeeeeeep inside to her indie-self and comes out with this track. I like this, it has a really nice and genuine feeling t it. this proves that even a restrained christina can wow a listener with her beautiful voice.

Now we come to my favorite track on the album, You Lost Me: The amazing Sia writes what could the most beautiful song of her writting career. I refused to listen to the live version that leaked earlier but then after a clip of the song leaked i just had to listen to it. I was speechless. This is just so beautiful and christina sings her heart out on this one! one of my favorite christina songs!

I Hate Boys : ok thogh this is catchy as hell, but isn't christina a bit old to be singing about this subject? "I hate boys, but boys love me" sounds a bit immature from the almost 30 year old singer.

My Girls : seriously? aren't there any other left over songs that couldn't replaced this song? another immature sounding track.

Vanity : ok so basically i love this song for all the wrong reasons! you can't help but laugh along while singing this song! I Announce this The Vain Anthem of 2010!

Now we get to the deluxe edition tracks!!

Monday Morning : let's just say i'm not a fan of the sound of this track.

BobbleHead : this is so funny! so catchy! but unfortunatly falls flat because of how repeatitive it is.

Birds Of Prey : I LOVE THIS SONG! this is a tottally different vibe to all the stuff on the album and it would've been great if she had this song on the album. the dark theme of the song would make the whole thing more interesting.

Stronger Than Ever : When i read the title of the name i was looking forward to a (Fighter) rip off but when i listened to it i realized this was one of the best tracks on the album! christina should do more songs like this, she sounds amazing and it suits her very well.

I Am (Stripped) : this is basically the same track but without the beat lol

Little dreamer : this is a really nice song, i love how she sounds here i just wish the melody wasn't so.. disco-ish!

This album was a solid effort from christina. she showed everyone that she's an artist with versatility, some might take this as a sign of not having a sound, but i think it just means we should expect more of her! though i loved some of the tracks here, i also hated some. it's too bad this album is flopping, i feel like this album has potential but what's stopping it from actually achieving it's potential is christina's need to satisfy her ego. i wish her the best of luck with this era and i hope things turn around for her, though i doubt it.

i know i haven't been doing much lately on this blog, and i can't promise that i'll be doing much work right now or in the near future either, but for some reason i just had to post this song on my blog.
this song just speaks to me. drake ditches the usual rap/singing and goes for a more singing aproach on this on. Í can honestly say that after hearing the first single and this, i'm really excited about his album. the song taks about wanting to find love, and through out the hurt caused in that process, and still persuing that. i know many of u have been through this and u can relate to this. it just makes me wonder.. is it all worth it?

Adam Lambert is the runner-up for the hit tv show american idol! this guy has wowed america with his unbelievable voice and shocked them with one performance at the AMA's! he dropped his first album back in 2009 and the album has since then been certified platinum after debuting at number 3. Critical reception to this album has mainly been favourable, but i just couldn't get myself to listen to it untill now. this one's for you Honey B!

this song has an OTT vibe to it! kinda like a musical or something.. it's catchy, i give you that but why the hell am i having Mika flashbacks whenever that (look into my eyes, baby eyes) part comes up!!! though i may not admit it in person but i know i'll be humming this song when i wake up tomorrow morning lol.

For Your Entertainment (the name's pretty explanatory)

the first single! when i first heard it, I LOVED IT! but now Whenever i hear this song, my mind just has these horrifying images of that HORRID AMA performance! oh well, still love the song though.. it's just the images..

Whataya Want From Me

Probably my favorite song from the album! this album was written by pink for her album funhouse but she thought that it would be suited for another artist.. i love that she decided that becuz this is the song that really sold me with this album! i LOVE it! two words, pop perfection.

Strut

Ok probably the gayest song title on the album LOL! the song's catchy though..the production is top notch.. it's just the subject of the song that i'm not interested in lol

after the most dramatic intro to a song that i've ever heard through out my short years of music, the song slows down into this beautiful ballad from adam. right in the middle of the song that OTT-ness comes back and it's just too much -_- you know the saying, less is more! oh well atleast the last 50 seconds of the song is like pure heaven!

Sure Fire Winners

I really like the vibe of this song! HOT VOCALLS!Those Runs! Those Notes! This is why i loved adam back when he was on idol! plus it doesn't hurt that the chorus is catchy!

i always thought that adam would do well if his music was a bit more rock!

A Loaded Smile

I would've loved it if he added a more jazzy feel to this song! the lyrics just give me that vibe for some reason! (A Loaded smile.. An Empty Glass.. And One Last Dance..).

My first thought is Kelly Clarkson's (If I Can't have you) LOL. after a couple of listens.. I think.. I Think.. I LOVE IT!!!!! This is so single worthy!

Pick U Up

Adam kinda pulls this one! i love the the breakdown in the middle where everything slows down and it's just adam's voice! the melody is really great! and those vocalls.. the song kinda gives me a (you and I - celine dion) vibe for some reason XD

Fever

oh no!!!!!!! =( i expected a (you give me fever) but oh well.. let's listen.. ok.. cheesy.. me no likey.. idk why but this song is getting on my nurves!!!!!!! ME NO LIKEY ;@ U GOT THIS FEVER THAN GO TO A FREAKIN DOCTOR ;@

Even though I never gave this album a proper listen, this song has always stood out for me. the production is typical ryan tedder but with a twist, and it works out in this song!! i love the lyrics! and i love the chorus! the performance itself is just very emotive. ( You're Everything That I Want, But U Don't Want Me) *sigh*

Aftermath

oh god!!! i Love the way he sings the verses!! i think this is one of the highlights of this album! it has a positive msg to it which i love!

Broken Open

After Listening to Adam's Rendition of (Mad World) so many times, i just can't help but think this like part 2 or something. that's not a bad thing, his performance is very emotional. i like it.

Time For Miracles

Another Standout to me! this is the first thing we heard from this album and i really think that this is the type of music that adam should be doing and Those Vocalls.. What Can I Say!!! Words Can't Express!

Over all this album wasn't at all what i expected. it's actually a pretty good album but it has this tendency of being OTT and cheesy! adam delievered a very solid debut with a hand full of what could be future singles! just please Avoid releasing fever like it was The Plague, and u'll do just fine on the charts =]

Pixie Lott

Pixie Lott is an artist that has recently been able to catch my attention. i read about her on blogs and stuff but never bothered to check out her music and one day my ipod ran out of charge on my way back home. i decided i would turn on the radio and then i heard a jazzy and soulfull song in the name of (Cry Me Out) and that's how i fell in love with her!

Pixie released her platinum selling debut (Turn It Up) at 2009 and has since managed to get 4 top 20 hits (two of which topped the charts)! i finally got myself to download the album but only to be pleasently surprised by the ammount of talent this young singer has!

I think I've Done Enough talking LOL now let's get to the music!

Mama Do (Uh Oh, Uh Oh)

the first single off the album. a jazzy retro-pop number, very catchy melody, and seriously infecious (what would my momma do.. if she know about me and u.. what my daddy say.. if he saw me hurt this way)!

Cry My Out

the album's third single! I LOVE THIS SONG! (What's In My Heart.. Is Not In Ur Head Anyway..) her vocals are really cool here! specially towards the end! probably my favorite song on the album!

Band Aid

a nice sweet lovey-dovey midtempo! it's typical but i can't help but smile when i listen to it =]

Turn It Up

The albums rumored fifth single. i like this song it has a nice vibe to it. i think it's a good choice for a single.

Boys And Girls

An infecious soulfull number with catchy hook! fun production! i enjoy listening to this song :D

Gravity

the forth single! One of my faves! i just love this song! her vocals! EVERYTHING! though at times it feels like a ryan tedder production but that doesn't mean it's not a good song!

My Love

i love this song.. it has a light vibe to it though a strong message behind it.

Jack

I Can't Say anything bad about this song cuz i think it's kinda funny :P i think this is one of the weaker songs on the album.

Nothing Compares

A sweet song that finds pixie trading the fun vibe into a more serious acoustic one. (They say if it doesn't kill you it'll make you stronger. Oh, but I can't be without you any longer) =(

Here We Go Again

I feel like this song has a similar vibe to boys and girls. it's fun and catchy. i can't complain :D

The Way The World Works

I love this song! from beginning to end! (I'm so Tired Of The Way The World Works!)

Hold Me In Your Arms

Not a bad song but it's one of the weaker cuts on the album.

Use Someobody (Kings Of Leon Cover)

one of my favorites! it's just my opinion but i think this version is a tad better than the original! I love what she did with the song!

When Love Takes Over(Kelly Rowland Cover)

Again i LOVE this one! very soulfull and very nice!

Without You

I have to admit that the first time i listened to this song was while writting this review. i liked the begining and i expected it to turn into this ballad but suddenly was dissapointed at the very poppy course! =(

Rolling Stone

Cool song! one of the standouts for me!

The last two tracks are kinda like a joke to me.. so i'm not gonna really review them! :D LOL

ok so the album might be a tad generic but what album isn't! the abum was full of memorable melodies and good lyrics. she did pretty well on this debut! i just hope her next effort gets more personal and she gets to actually express herself more! I say give it a listen! i think there's something in this album that everyone would enjoy!

So let's get to it :D the first album i'm gonna be mentioning is Allison Iraheta's Debut Album (Just Like You). the almost 18 year old was a contistant in season 8 of American Idol! though she didn't win, she came in fourth! she was famous for her 70's rock inspired vocals!

After Idol, She was signed with 19 Entertainment and Jive Records. her album (Just Like You) wa released december first to posetive reviews but the reviews that album and it's singles failed to take off in the states. and so here are the highlights of he album :D

Friday I'll Be Over You

The First Single From The Album! Thought It's ur typical radio friendly genric track Allison's voice just gives it that extra lil something to make it a summer anthum in my opinion! It's Basically Allison Telling off her boyfriend by saying "Friday I'll Be Over You!"

Robot Love

Heavy On the base, The Song is allison dimissing what she calls "robot love" which is basically a relationship gone bad becuz of how robotic it's got! Cool vibe and the "ooh na na give me my give me my baby back " is so catchy!

Just Like You

The Title Track! Probably My Favorite song off the album! with relatable lyrics, and an emotional performance by allison, this can't go wrong! i would love for this to be a single along the road.. if we get more singles off this album. "They say Heartache.. Heals In Time.. Who ever They Are.. They Were right" =]

Don't Waste The Pretty

a feel good track with a msg that's really appealing.. don't waste the pretty =]

Scars

Another fav of mine! "it's not like you don't know what you got yourself into.. don't tell me i'm the one who's naive"allison sings on the acoustic guitar. think of one of pink's ballads! very similar but allison's voice and style set her apart.

Pieces

idk why but it feels like a coldplay track at the begining :D and that's not such a bad thing :P

the album closer.. and all i have to say is..

Over all, this album was put together very well and thought haven't yet found sucess state side.. hopefully she'll try with the UK.. idk why but they feel like an easier to please crowd :O the rest of the album is good also but it doesn't appeal to me as much as these tracks do.. but if u like what ur hearing make sure u support her by purchasing her album :) i would love to hear some more from Allison and i'm posetive that i will becuz that voice is a gem and anyone that says that it's not is either a crack head.. or a crack head :D

The Best We Never Had: Nicole Scherzinger!

Most of you guys know nicole scherzinger as that girl who sings everything from the pussycat dolls lol but i'd like to breif you guys about her because i just remembered that i had a HUGE crush on her lol.

Nicole was born in Honolulu, Huwaii. her father is full Filipino, her mom is half Russian and half Hawaiian. Scherzinger appeared on the days of the new's album (a rock band, if u can believe it :P) and then she was in a reality tv show called (popstars) which she earned a spot in group (Eden's Crush). the group had one hit on it's name under it's belt titled ( get over yourself (goodbye) ) which you can listen to by pressing on the title. the band eventually broke up because it was dropped due to the record label folding. Scherzinger made a few promotional solo appearances under the name Nicole Kea. such as the soundtrack for the movie (50 first dates) with the song (Breakfast In Bed: i can't find a link on youtube :( ). In 2005 (FINALLY!),the world got introduced to nicole scherzinger as we know her! the pussycat dolls lead singer. :D the pussycat dolls shot to stardom with their debut album (PCD), after selling millions of albums around the world and several world wide hits, Nicole wanted to persue a solo career and was well on her way when she released (whatever you like) which was left unnoticed by the public (which is A SHAME! becuz that song was SCORCHING HOT!) and then released her second single (baby love) which did modiocarly well in Europe but still suffered the same fate as her previous single in the states :( she went back to the pussycat dolls to record a new album with the dolls titled (doll domination)! the album suffered what is called the softmore slump! it flopped in the states but did kinda well in the UK :D after touring for the album around the world, the dolls had their fall out and it is now confirmed that some memberes were kicked out and that some new members are to be introduced. Nicole is now reportidly working on her new album after scrapping (Her name is nicole) which for now is titled (The New Times). hopefully she gets it right this time around :D

Every1 that knows me knows that i've never really paid attention to Nickelodeon starts and stuff like that but today i have to say that changed! i heard a song called (Parachute) by a Keke Palmer and before i know it i was searching who this Keke person was. it turns out she's one of the stars of the famous Nickelodean sitcom (True Jackson, VP). she's an actress, singer, and a designer! she's actually the star of one of my favorite movies (Akeelah And The Bee).

After A very unsuccessful yet met with positive reviews first album (So Uncool) she's back with Interscope Records recording her second album which is yet to be titled!

the song (Parachute) can be disribed as cheesy and all but i don't mind it one bit! the beat is knocking! and her voice is really great considering she's only 17! U Can Listen Below!

here we start with Kris Allen's self-titled album. ever since Kris Aleen won american Idol earlier this year, everyone has been inticipating how his album is gonna turn out to be. word got out that he was working with some urban producers and that got me really hyped up for the album. when i found out that the stuff they worked on together wont be included i kinda got a lil less excited about the whole thing and expected it the whole thing to become a radio-rock sort of album aaaaaaaaaaaaaaand i was right lol. anyways radio-rock isn't always bad, actually it's my favorite type of rock lol. his album was decent for an idol winner. i liked the fact that he was so involved with the album and actually wrote or co-wrote the songs on it. ok i know what y'all are thinking, stop with the info get started with the music. so here it goes..

One thing u can count on every year at the VMA's is DRAMA! and this year wasn't any different!my jaw littarly dropped when is saw this! the video started fine. taylor happy about recieving her first VMA but then this happens..

did u see taylor's face after kanye finished what he said. poor girl. that was suppose to be her moment but it gor ruined by his fucked up ego! seriously how can he stand himself? who is he to get up on that stage and announce that beyonce had the "one of the greatest videos of all time" reports say that taylor swift was seen back stage crying hysterically afterwards.

as the show continued beyonce won video of the year and once again proved to me and the world that she's a class act! watch below..

Takers is an upcoming ensemble cast crime thriller film directed by John Luessenhop and written by Luessenhop, Gabriel Casseus, Peter Allen, and Avery Duff. It features an ensemble cast headed by Paul Walker, Matt Dillon, and Hayden Christensen and is set to be released on February 19, 2010.

This is something i usually don't believe but then i saw the trailer and this looks kinda GD! i'm having mixed feelings about this. watch the trailer below and tell me what you think.

This is really really good! i didn't expect this from toni her voice sounds incredible on this piano driven ballad. it's kinda reminiscent to beyonce's (broken-hearted girl) but i feel like this is a bit stronger. WOW! i didn't expect this from Miss keri Baby LOL. this is really really classy and sexy and didn't once verge on trashy/slutty! and that's great! for once i didn't mind the hair although some would say the snake skin dress wasn't the best choice and though i like it i do think she should've wore something similar to the picture above. the dancing was on point for me. and the sitting was cool and laid back just like the song itself so in general i LOVED it!

one of my favorite artist Letoya luckett had such bad management and such shitty promotion that her album debuted at number 12 with 33000 copies sold. when her last album debuted at number 1!!!!! with a couple of singles that failed to crack the hot 100! becuz not a lot of radio stations would play her songs! but that's a whole other story i don't wanna get into!
I listened to this girl's album and it's really really gd! i hope it becomes one of those steady sales album and that the next single the colaboration with luda (regret) picks up. you can listen to the next single by pressing on the title. tell me what you think!

I decided to do a (blast from the past) post as soon as i heard this song! (i don't wanna know by mario winans) is one of the first english songs i loved! this song is deep and the mario's voice floats smoothly over the melody! this song was released back at 2004 this was a world wide hit going to number one at the UK and Germany, and it reached 2 in the states! and it was mario's biggest hit to date. the song sampled the fugees' 1996 hit single "Ready Or Not".

To Top that Off a responce by singer (Shola Ama) titled (you should really know) was released and it was a success as well! it managed to reach number 8 at the Uk single's chart!

I LOVE both versions of the songs! hope u guys like'em! tell me which one do you prefer! and if you think the responce would be better with another female singer? i personally doubt it cuz she does such a gd job with the song!

whintey houstin has gone on GMA to continue her promotion for her album (i look to you) which is in stores now. the diva sounds like nothing she did before! i was expecting better fom whitney! she did apologize to the crowd and say that she "had lost her voice because she talked too much ". whintey even said to her fans (i shouldn't be talking i should be singing) here we have three of the performances.

i truely hope she lost her voice for the day and that she's not just saying this because she doesn't wanna disspoint the fans. i'll just have to wait to see the orpah performance! you can watch an episode teaser below.

This sounds indentical to every other stargate production song!!! the only thing that made me listen to this song is that seriously awesome title LOL! gd writting (for the last 35 minutes i've been trying let you know.. that my heart and mind ain't in this relationship nomore) i liked that one! the girls sounds gd but this has nothing on what used to be my jam (he ain't with me now (tho)). I hope The Girls come harder then this on this album cuz every one else is snatching themselves a stargate production. never the less i like the song but i doubt i'll listen to it after i'm done with it for now.

Ok so i decided i would write about releases i'm excited about this year. so here we go..

MUSIC:-
Everyone that knows me knows that i'm seriously excited about upcoming releases from my favorite artist (Mariah Carey) her new cd is titles (Memoirs Of An Imperfect Angel) which has already spawned hit single (obsessed) and is moving on to the second single (i wanna know what love is). both songs u can listen to by clicking on their titles.

another Diva I'm inticipating her new release is (Whitney Houstin). her Lastest Effort titled (I Look To You) which was released yesterday has gotten posetive reviews from critics. two songs i recommend from that record are (I Didn't Know My Own Strength) and (Salute). again you can listen to both songs by clicking on the titles.

Movies:-
The first movie i'm anticipating it's release will be (precious). This movie stars Mo'nique and it ncludes a guest appearance from MY GURL MC!!!! you can watch the trailer by clicking on the movie's title.
